A complete example of this terrific atlas that features tipped-in maps with fancy borders. Complete with 79 wax engraved maps, 15 of which are double-page. All states and territories are represented with 51 maps of U.S. interest. Other charts include Flags of the World, five thematic charts, types of the Races of Men, several pages of portraits, and more. This edition was originally published in 1883 with a revised copyright date of 1885. Title page, contents, list of the population of cities, index, 200 pp. Hardbound in original brown cloth with embossing and gilt titling on the cover.


Condition: B+

Text and maps good to very good. A couple maps have small edge tears in lower margins. Covers are shelf worn and separated. Cloth on spine is splitting along the hinges with some loss.
