1) "Yosemite National Park Showing Boundaries Established by Act of Congress Approved June 11, 1906" (26.8 x 24.8"). This is a lovely map of the park with considerable detail throughout. A legend provides an explanation of the color code and line used. The new limits of the park are shown with an overprinted brown line. Existing roads and trails are marked as well as suggested new patrol stations, trails and roads for an adequate system. Map prepared for the Report of Yosemite Park Commission. Drawn on a scale of 2 miles to the inch. This is a revised border recommendation published just a few months after the commission's original recommendation that added the Big Tree Grant (Mariposa Grove) to the park.
2) "Yosemite National Park California" (13.8 x 10.6"). A small and finely engraved map that was created from Captain Wheeler's survey and others to accompany the "Report of the Acting Superintendents of the Yosemite National Park," 1899. Colors indicate Patented (private) Lands within the park boundaries. The detailed topography and watershed are beautifully rendered in this fine map.
