Great ephemeral handbook with folding maps that were given to members of the American Medical Association during their convention in Philadelphia in 1872. The hand book has cloth boards, 82 pp including eight scenic engravings of local areas, text, plus medical related advertising and information on the numerous colleges, hospitals and other attractions. The book includes two maps of Philadelphia:

1) Map of Philadelphia, a reduced version from Smedley's Complete Atlas of Philadelphia. It is a very detailed plan of the city (14.7 x 19.5").
2) Topographical Map of Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, excepting Wissahickon Valley. This is an attractive map with paths in red, and a chart delineating finished drives, temporary drives, concrete walks, gravels walls and the bridle path (16 x 24").
