This map was printed using the revolutionary cerographic process, a milestone in cartographic printing techniques. This early printed color technique was an important change in the way maps were produced and the only truly American cartographic publishing innovation.

A great pre-statehood view of Florida issued just three years before the territory gained statehood. It is a nice, unfolded example from this early cerographic atlas. Good detail of the numerous roads and settlements is shown, mainly in the northern and central parts of the state. The southern tip is covered primarily by the Everglades. Inset view of the West Part of Florida. Clean and bright example of this desirable and early printed color map.
