This is a compendium of useful information on the Philippines at the time of their Spanish cessation to the United States. It includes seven principal maps covering the islands in broad context, 141 coast and harbor charts and more than 200 photographic images of cities, modes of transport, buildings, etc. Also included is detailed information on minerals, forests, fruits, industries, commerce, roads, communications, population, towns, physical features, and much more. No such work in English based on local examinations and in this depth was available in 1902. Hardbound in modern green cloth with three gilt stamped labels on spine, new end papers, 933pp. An important and historical publication that is filled with maps and charts.
