Large world map drawn on Mercator's Projection and decorated with a lovely compass rose. The verso of the map focuses on the current war with Spain with a large colored map of Cuba (19 x 12.5") that includes a detailed plan of Havana (7.5 x 5"), Philippine Islands (19 x 12.7"), Map of Porto Rico and the West Indies (10 x 7"), Puerto Rico (5.5 x 2.5"), and a Chart of the North Atlantic Ocean (19 x 12"). Four halftone photographs of battleships: USS Oregon, Indiana, Iowa, and Texas with a description of each and the cost. At bottom a note mentions that this map may be purchased separately from the "handy war book" if desired. A most interesting period piece.
