The Gentleman's Magazine published several versions of Scull and Heap's important map of 1750. This Pre-Revolutionary War issue is the less common edition that contains the table of distances below the cartouche, as opposed to the map published in 1777 (GENT-256). The map holds special value as a historical document because it shows the names of owners of estates and farms outside the city. German Town, for instance, is denoted by a double row of houses.
