This large and important Civil War map in original hand color extends west to include part of Kansas, Indian Territory and Texas to beyond Houston but not as far as Austin. The considerable detail throughout names counties and numerous railroads. Two insets feature portions of Texas and Florida. A table provides symbols for towns, villages, battlefields, forts, military routes of infantry and cavalry, railroads and canals.
