Superb large chart from this scarce nineteenth century atlas extending to include Greenland and Iceland. The map is filled with an impressive array of information illustrating the physical and geographical divisions, colonial possessions in the Caribbean, roads, canals, railways, forts, mines and the plant and mineral distributions. The map is flanked with side panels containing numerous meticulously engraved vignettes representing the various industries and peoples of the different countries and regions.

Condition: A

Original color. Minor damp stains in blank margins. Couple of light spots in map, still overall very good. Archival tape repair on marginal tear, not affecting map.
