Pair of engravings illustrating two strikingly different receptions of Cook's landing party in the New Hebrides. First illustrates a friendly group of natives receiving the party with a palm branch held out in peace. Second shows an angry mob attacking the party. From a Dutch edition of Cook's voyages.
