Lovely pair tinted lithographs from a quarto edition of this important work. First is the frontispiece from Volume IV showing the "Entrance to the Great Temple of Aboo-Simbel, Nubia," plate 187. The second is from Volume V showing the "Great Gateway, leading to the Temple of Karnak, Thebes," plate 170.
