Very nice bird's-eye plan of the fortified city of Mechelen in Antwerpen Province. The Dyle River flows through the city and is diverted fully around the city to a form a circular, protective moat. Two very handsome coats of arms decorate the top and figures overlook Mechelen from a hilltop in the foreground. Latin text on verso, affected by trimming.
