This Italian edition of Ptolemy's Geographia was printed by the brothers Paolo and Francesco Galignani. Two parts in one, complete with sixty-four (64) copperplate maps, all skillfully engraved by Girolamo Porro. They are divided into the Ptolemaic maps (27) and 'modern' maps (37). Includes fine maps of the Americas (Burden #83), Asia (Yeo #14), Africa (Norwich #24), four world maps including the beautiful reduction of Rumold Mercator's world map (Shirley #193-196), and numerous other interesting maps.
