Handsome map of the Mediterranean coast of Africa, home to the infamous Barbary pirates, in three sections. The top map shows the entire coast and much of the Mediterranean. The map in the lower right features the Delta of the Nile River, and shows settlements and other details including the pyramids. The map in the lower left features what is present-day Tunisia with the ancient city and fort of Carthage. Nicely decorated with strapwork cartouches and a large oared ship. French text on verso.
