These copperplate engravings were published in William Maitland's History and Survey of London, 1756. They are very detailed maps of the streets, lanes, alleys and courts in the ancient city of London. They are richly embellished with architectural profiles of major churches or important buildings, the arms of the mayor and aldermen, elaborate title cartouches and compass roses.

They are richly embellished with architectural profiles of major churches or important buildings, the arms of the mayor and aldermen, elaborate title cartouches and compass roses. Includes Aldersgate Ward, Aldgate Ward, Billinsgate and Bridge Ward, Bishopsgate Ward, Broad Street and Cornhill Wards, Cheap Ward, Coleman Street and Bassishaw Wards, and Sir John Evelyn's Plan for Rebuilding that Antient Metropolis after the Fire in 1666. Sizes vary between 14.5 x 9" to 18.7 x 14".
