Fascinating map of the continent showing the imaginary Sea of the West and a Northwest Passage stretching from Baffin's Bay to the Archipel St. Lazare through a complex system of lakes and rivers. There is not yet any sign of a recognizable Alaska. The British colonies are confined east of the Appalachian Mountains with French Louisiana stretching to the Pacific Northwest. Large decorative title cartouche that is uncolored.
