This is the complete atlas volume to The Life of George Washington, which was published in six volumes from 1804-07. The atlas volume, dated 1807, contains ten engraved folding maps of important Revolutionary War cities, battlefields and troop movement plans including:

While this publication was written by Chief Justice John Marshall, the atlas volume was published by C.P. Wayne of Philadelphia whose name appears on each map. Hardbound in quarter-calf over marbled paper boards.

Condition: B

The maps have light to moderate toning, offsetting, and foxing. There are some dampstains along the bottom of the last few pages of the subscriber list and a small dampstain on the title page. Covers have heavily worn and very nearly detached. Spine has perished.
