This promotional map was published by the Goodrich Rubber Company and presents the nascent road network in the state. A legend at right reveals three different quality levels of highway: primary roads made of brick, concrete or macadam; secondary roads constructed of shell or sand-clay mixture; and roads that were unsurfaced. Most of the primary roads were located in the central and northern part of the state, with only a handful of roads (of any type) south of Palm Beach. One joining Miami to Naples is noted as “Under Construction 1920” which is known today as Alligator Alley (I-75). An inset map at bottom left shows the panhandle. The verso contains small maps of Jacksonville and Tampa, mileage charts, and promotional text for Goodrich. Self-folding in pictorial wrappers.

We found no institutional examples on OCLC and only one past sales record dated 1920, though that map is slightly different. Goodrich copyrighted two versions of this map in 1920 (March and November), and this version closely resembles the 1919 edition, meaning it is likely the March 1920 issue. OCLC shows no Goodrich road maps dated past 1920.
