This rare and uniquely designed promotional map was issued by the Puget Sound Electric Railway. It shows the railway in red connecting a plan view of Tacoma (population: 74, 795) at left to a plan view of Seattle (population: 151,000) at right. In between are the various stops, and a series of black & white photographs (with captions) showing "scenes along the line." The 38-mile Puget Sound Electric Railway, which spanned from Seattle to Tacoma, ran from 1902 to 1928. Verso features a daily time card, places of interest, passenger rates and connections, and more useful information for the travels. Self-folds into a brochure (4.3 x 8.2") with "Mt. Tacoma or Rainier" on the front cover. Engraving credited to Benson-Morris Co. in Seattle. Printed by Allen & Lamborn in Tacoma.
