This pocket map features a plan of the city of Montreal, with excellent detail of the streets. Sites of interest are located, such as Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, Saint Joseph's Oratory (although construction would have been paused at this point, before its iconic dome was in place), Mount Royal Park, McGill University, and various cemeteries, cathedrals, and universities. The Canadian National and Canadian Pacific railways are boldly delineated, as is the Lachine Canal. Boroughs are identified. The St. Lawrence River runs along the bottom of the map, with St. Helen's Island and Ile Ronde depicted. The map is oriented with true north and magnetic north to the right. Dated 1931, credited to James Morrison. On verso is a second map, Plan Prepared by the Montreal Tramways Commission (20.0 x 13.5"), that lays out the city's tram system in red lines. Dated 1923. It is surrounded by a key describing the various routes and a street index for map on recto. Folds into printed red covers (5.0 x 8.0"). Published by the American News Company Limited.
