This lithographed Italian map of North America appeared in Marzolla's scarce atlas, Atlante Geografico. The Republic of Texas is delineated and identified in the key, but the colorist of this example did not highlight the region. The United States-Mexico border on this example dips south into Coahuila. L. Teguayo appears in the west along with L. Timpanogos, which has three conjectural rivers branching off from it and emptying into the Pacific. There is a vast Territorio Oregone spanning from present-day Washington to east of the Rockies. The coastline of the Pacific Northwest is Nuova Albion. The Oregon Boundary Dispute is depicted with a dotted line boundary stretching well into British Columbia, although the colorist adheres to the modern border. Alaska is America Russa. At left the color key identifies various colonial holdings. Below the map are Italian text and tables providing further information about the continent's population, natural resources, elevations, and more.
