This is a handsomely produced facsimile of the copy of Jansson's atlas of Germany from the collection of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (Bavarian State Library). It features full color versions of all 92 maps, including three fold-out maps. The facsimile atlas also reproduces the title page showing Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand III surrounded by seven Electors in ermine cloaks. The German-language introduction is by Dr. Traudl Seifert, head of the map collection at Bayerische Staatsbibliothek. Hardbound in green leather with raised bands and gilt tooling and title on spine. Slides into a felt-lined cardboard slipcase.
