This promotional map, printed in blue ink, shows the route of the Atlantic & Great Western Railway from New York City to St. Louis via the Ohio & Mississippi Railway (from Cincinnati to St. Louis). The route follows the approximate path of the Erie Canal before heading southwest and touted itself as "The Only Railway from New York to the Pennsylvania Oil Wells." Spoke line connect Titusville, Franklin and Cleveland, while planned spokes extend to Niagara Falls and the Ohio River. Likely issued as part of a brochure, though no covers are present.
