Lovely pair of maps of India and Asia.

1) Asia a New Description by Robert Morden from Geography Rectified… published in 1688. Lovely miniature map with many placenames, etc. (5 x 4.5"). Fold split in bottom margin repaired with archival tape on verso. Toned along edges and folds.
2) Hindoostan or India, from the best Authorities., anonymous, circa 1800. This copper engraved map shows areas ceded to the British in 1792. Numerous cities, villages, rivers, and mountains are located. (8.3 x 7.3"). Crisp impression. Some soil and light foxing in margins.
