A very uncommon small map of the Americas featuring the Island of California prominently. The Fretum Anian connects to a faintly engraved river, alluding to a Northwest Passage and the northwest coastline is named Terra Iedso al: Esonis. The British colonies are confined to the eastern seaboard with only Pennsylvania and Virginia named. The title cartouche incorporates decorative elements from one of Homann's maps of America.
