This atlas contains 62 copper engraved maps, 61 being double-page. All uncolored, as issued, with crisp, bright impressions, most with limited scattered foxing. Hardbound in brown cloth with gold embossing to spine. All of the modern maps are published under the direction of John Arrowsmith. A nice set of maps, including two worlds, British Possessions in North America, North America, United States, Japan and the West Indies.

Binding and signatures tight. Scattered foxing, heavily to a few maps. Free Library of Philadelphia bookplate, punched library stamp on lower title page and some stamped dates to first map.
