Early nineteenth century map of the state with great detail and good representation of the Outer Banks. At bottom left is an inset entitled "Western Part of North Carolina on the same scale" containing Buncombe and Rutherford counties. The map includes Haywood and Columbus counties and Anson County is delineated, but not named. Original color designating counties.
