Steel engraved map that is filled with political and topographical detail throughout. The borders and territories during this period are very interesting and provide insight into the rapid changes taking place then. Alaska is Russian American, Nebraska extends to the Canadian border, Minnesota extends to include much of the future Dakota territory, both Washington and Oregon extend to the Continental Divide, and Oklahoma is entirely Indian Territory. No sign of Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, or the Dakota's. Names Indian nations, forts, rivers, etc. With the plain border.
