A large and striking map printed in full color with terrific detail. Compiled from the official records of the General Land Office. Scale 12 miles = 1 inch. Each of the Tribal areas is annotated with treaty information, etc. Thomas Donaldson published the map to accompany George Catlin’s Indian gallery. The numbers are keyed to Tribal lands. Printed by Julius Bien.

A very fine impression and good, strong color. A few areas within the printed color that have faded or oxidized along folds. Reinforced on back with tissue and pressed.
