An interesting map of the area south of the San Joaquin River from the Ocean to the foothills of Sierra Nevada Mountains. A "road to Los Angeles" runs down the center of the map. There is also a road from Monterey to San Louis Obispo with several villages shown along the way. Names Carmel. Several mountain passes are noted. A map of major importance according to Wheat.
