Handsome map of the Persian Empire including the region between the Black and Caspian sea, part of Iraq and a bit of the Arabian peninsula. The large (uncolored) title cartouche features an Asian queen with her attendants, soldiers and a figure representing Justice. Above the scale of miles is a finely engraved vignette depicting pearl harvesting.
