Complete atlas with three additional maps included by Mitchell, but not listed: Florida (shares page #25 with Georgia and Alabama), New Orleans (not numbered), and Iowa and Missouri (not numbered). All maps feature the strong, and well engraved, floral borders. All are beautifully colored with an extensive pallet. Features include the Confederate Territory of Arizona, Nebraska with a long panhandle, Pony Express Route shown, etc. Covers very worn and attached only at the back. Most signatures and a few maps are loose with some stitching holding it together. Overall, maps are generally clean and bright condition, some with soiling restricted to the margins, and some toning on isolated sheets. A beautiful and complete atlas that is perfect for rebinding.
