Large and important Civil War map in original hand color. Extends west to include part of Kansas, Indian Territory and Texas to beyond Houston but not as far as Austin. Shows and names many railroads and considerable other detail. Insets are portions of Texas and Florida. A table provides symbols for towns, villages, battlefields, forts, military routes of infantry and cavalry, railroads and canals.

Backed with Japanese tissue to reinforce a few fold splits. Small fold intersection loss replaced.
