Copper engraved map of Tartary, China and Japan embellished with a decorative strapwork title cartouche flanked by putti. The map is fully engraved with forests and mountains and has quite good detail of cities and towns for the period. The Great Wall is graphically depicted. Japan is shown on the Blaeu/Martini type and Korea is shown as a small peninsula. The large, mythical Chiammay Lacus is located in central China.
