(The Horn of Plenty, or Commentaries on the Latin Language) Printed by Bernard of Cremona and Simon of Liverno. The work of the classical scholar discusses the beauties of the Latin language, quoting in depth the Epigrams of the Roman satirist Martial as the finest specimens of that noble tongue. The printers' attractive Roman letter type is influenced by the work of Aldus, and the leaf is a fine representation of the Venetian printers of this period of the Republic's greatest flowering.
