Copper engraved map of central Germany featuring the fortified cities of Wittenberg and Halle, and numerous villages. The map is based on Jansson and van Waesbergen, who are credited along with the Pitt-Swart imprint. Decorative title cartouche and elaborate coat of arms grace the top corners of the map. A scarce map, due to the financial bankruptcy of Moses Pitt who was only able to complete 4 volumes of an ambitious project for a world atlas.
