A finely engraved large chart coverings the region from "Adayes, Presidio Espagnol de la Province de Tecas" (near Natchitoches) to the "Riviere des Alibamons" and Mobile Bay. Superb detail, particularly in the areas of New Orleans, Pascagoula and Mobile, and of the river systems. There are numerous notations concerning Indian villages and forts. Large inset "Partie Superieure de la Louisiane" delineates the Arkansas, Ohio, Illinois, and Missouri rivers. Two sheets joined. 2" tear, invisibly repaired. A fine impression engraved on thick, sturdy paper. Ref: Lowery #333.
