This two-volume set focuses on the theater of war in Germany during the Seven Years' War. The first volume contains a geographical description of the locations affected by the war, as well as an overview of the military operations in those locations. The second volume contains 39 maps: a key map of central Europe (the only map in hand color), 28 regional maps based on the key map, and 10 bird's-eye plans of cities and their fortifications. The city plans include Berlin, Bremen, Breslau (now Wroclow, Poland), Dresden, Hannover, Leipzig, and Prague. Vol I: title page; viij; 234 pp.; [4 pp.]. Vol. II: title page; 39 maps. Hardbound in full contemporary mottled calf with gilt tooling and title on spines, marbled end papers, and original green ribbon page markers in each volume.

Condition: A

The maps are clean and bright with the exception of a few that have light dampstains at bottom. The text is also clean and bright. The covers have bumped corners and are lightly worn. The spines have some abrasions and small cracks.
