This charming promotional item from the Western Maryland Railway provides a fold-out, illustrated tour of the railway's route. A strip of several black & white illustrations depict of the sights to be seen along the route, including the Blue Mountain House, part of the popular Pen Mar Park resort that the railroad opened in 1877, and views of Gettysburg, including the monument of Brigadier General Gouverneur Kemble Warren at Little Round Top. A small map, Map of the Western Maryland R.R. and Connections, appears on the pastedown and stretches from Washington, D.C. north to Harrisburg, and from Baltimore west to Hagerstown. Folds into embossed burgundy boards with gilt title on front cover.

There is light soiling and a couple fold separations on the fold-out illustrations. Covers have light shelf wear, and there is chipping along the spine.
