This pair of miniatures appeared in Tome V of Mallet's Description de l'Univers. The first is a simple yet elegantly engraved map of the ancient British Isles. The second is a bird's-eye view of the city of London showing the Old London Bridge, numerous sailing ships in the Thames River, and various figures and their dogs in the foreground. Both sheets feature titles in banner cartouches. French text on verso.
