A. A Two-Way Street Between the Americas, by Pan-American Coffee Bureau, circa 1955 (23.8 x 35.1"). This large map shows the economic ties between North and South America by means of coffee beans. Text notes that "Latin America sells almost three-quarters of her great coffee crop to the United States and Canada" which in turn allows Latin America "to buy a wide range of goods in return." Features a legend at lower left noting the various types of agriculture and industry in the region. Blank verso. Condition: There are a number of fold separations closed on verso with archival tape, and small dampstains at a few of the fold junctions.

Pictorial Map of the American Continent Featuring the Pan American Highway and Showing Some of the Natural Resources, Scenic Wonders, and Points of Interest, by General Drafting Co., circa 1945 (17.3 x 23.7"). The extensive highway is depicted in red overprinting with dotted sections indicating "projected or impassable" roads. Descriptive text at bottom notes that "in a few years the dream of a generation of Americans - North, South and Central - will be realized." In addition to the highway, the map is densely and attractively illustrated with small vignettes representative of the various regions. Verso includes the flags and brief descriptions of each country. Self-folding into pictorial wrappers (4.2 x 9.0"). Condition: A colorful example with one tiny split at the lower fold junction with minute loss. There is light soiling to the wrappers.
