"[Lot of 2] A Junker Victory Means Slavery [and] Flag of Freedom",

This lot contains two visually striking World War I posters published by the E.G. Renesch Company of Chicago. At the center of the first poster are the portraits of generals Joffre (France), Pershing (United States), and Haig (Great Britain) or the "Iron Men of Deeds" who together "Will Tame the Mad Kaiser." The background shows a sinking RMS Lusitania with Uncle Sam shaking his first at a horned Kaiser Wilhelm. The second print depicts an American woman holding a large and colorful American flag blowing in the wind. She is standing next to a stone column with a carved Liberty Bell at bottom, and beneath her are soldiers marching with the Statue of Liberty in the distance.
