This uncommon 12-page report by George M. Robeson, Secretary of the Navy, contains the regulations for uniform dress for the Navy's various ranks on different occasions. The text is accompanied by 9 single-page plates (8 in color) illustrating insignia, sword belts, shoulder loops/straps and more. The plates were drawn by C.K. Stellwagen and lithographed by J.F. Gedney. Original paper boards.

Condition: B

The plates are good to mostly very good with some minor rippling and light soiling along the sheet edges. Title page and text have light dampstains (not impacting the plates). Endpapers are loose and the paper covers are worn and soiled.
