Based on the cartography of Johann Criginger (1521-1571), this fine map places Prague just north of center. It is boldly engraved in Ortelius' style; mountains and forests and hundreds of tiny villages are shown. Two sumptuous strapwork cartouches decorate the bottom. French text on verso.

A nice impression with an extraneous crease adjacent to the centerfold, a tiny worm hole at top, and marginal soiling. There are a couple of old manuscript ink notations just outside the map image.
