"Map of the Pacific Coast Showing Its Topographical Divisions, and Its Mineralogical, Agricultural, Wine and Fruit Growing Sections, and Its Lumber Regions, Etc., Etc...",

This map was featured on the front of the mammoth 5-page issue of the Annual Review, 1876 of the San Francisco Journal of Commerce including 2 long columns with heading "1876. A Memorable Year.” The large map fills up most of the front page and shows all of California, Oregon and Washington and parts of Idaho, Montana, Utah and Arizona. Filled with details including a legend at bottom that identifies gold, silver, copper, iron, “oil springs” in the Los Angeles areas, and much more. The newspaper also features a half-page advertisement for "Buena Vista Vinicultural Society" on page 3 (today's Buena Vista Winery). Includes a small address label at top left for Bancroft & Company, an important publisher of maps and books in San Francisco. There are no past sales records or institutional examples located on OCLC.
