"United States At-a-Glance",

This vintage educational map presents statistics about the 48 states and Washington, D.C. in a novel way. It is a map on a cardboard wheel that can be rotated to reveal information on individual states. The wheel shows each state's area, population, capital city, year it entered the Union, highest elevation, railroad mileage, principal city (other than the capital), rank in population and area, and principal river. It was published by Cosmos Publishing Co. for Hammett's School Supplies, the oldest school supplies retailer and distributor in the United States.
