This scarce report reviews previous explorations of the northwest coast including those of Drake, Cook, and Lewis & Clark as the justification for the 49th parallel being the boundary between the United States and Canada. The report also devotes the first few pages to an account of a journey made by Samuel Adams Ruddock, who in 1821 purportedly traveled from the Missouri River (via Santa Fe) to the Pacific Ocean in 75 days. Wagner-Camp quipped that it "would have been a remarkable feat, if it had happened." Only one auction record found in the last 30 years. 22 pages, disbound.
