Very uncommon map by this little known French cartographer. The West Coast extends north just past Cape Blanc to the "entrance discovered by Martin d'Aguilar." The remainder of the Pacific Northwest remains almost entirely blank with the exception of Quivira and Teguaio. There is a notation that the supposed discoveries of Admiral de Fonte have been omitted on this map due to several authors finding them doubtful, but were included conjecturally on the corresponding world map until they could be confirmed. The colonies extend from New England to Florida, with an oversized Carolina and Florida encompassing much of Georgia. Christopher Middleton's discoveries are noted north of Hudson Bay. Numerous Native Indian tribes are noted throughout.
