To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of Alexandria, Virginia, the Lyceum, the city's history museum, put together an impressive collection of 140 cartographic items related to the area. This uncommon catalog accompanied that exhibit. In addition to maps, it includes curiosities such as surveying tools and portraits of surveyors. The book includes numerous illustrations, some of them in color. Soft illustrated covers. 48 pp.
