This lovely bird's-eye plan of Mexico City depicts the center of the city as a large island in a lake surrounded by smaller islands with houses and fortifications and bridges. The map is set within a page of Italian text (7.9 x 11.6") with Italian text on verso as well. The text describes the geography and history of the great Aztec capital. Engraved by Girolamo Porro.

Condition: B+

There is a small worm hole in map image at bottom. There is some marginal soiling and damp stains along the sheet's edges.
